PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Joel A. Garrett entered the real estate business
in 1959 as a salesman. He joined Ladd's, Inc. as a salesman in 1961 and
bought the company in 1967. He currently is President of the firm. Garrett
is also President of Garrett Associates LTD I, a commercial and residential
construction firm.
As President of Ladd's Joel Garrett has developed
over 2000 residential lots in Oakland
and Macomb Counties, as well as office, retail, and industrial properties
totaling over 250,000 square feet.
Professional Affiliations: Former Chairman of the
Land Developers Division and Director
of the Detroit Real Estate Board. Past President and Director of the South
Oakland County Board of Realtors and President of its Credit Union. Past Director
of the Michigan Association of Realtors, and Chairman of its Land Use Legislative
Committee. Member of the National Association of Realtors, Detroit Area Commercial
Board of Realtors. Chairman, Oakland County Building Authority. Member, Oakand
County Economic Development Corporation.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Jan Van Duyn entered the construction business
in 1963 as a carpenter with the Walter
L.Couse Company, a large commercial contracting firm. During the next six
years he rose to foreman and superintendent while working on many large projects,
including
hospitals, industrial plants, hotels, office buildings, and churches. He obtained
his builder's license in 1966. The next two years he worked in the modular
housing industry, both in the manufacturing plant and on construction sites.
In 1971 he joined Ladd's, Inc. He has worked
in the sales of used homes, new homes,
commercial and investment properties, and in the assembly of land for development.
He
became Vice President of the firm in 1975.
In 1985 Garrett Associates LTD I, a commercial
and residential construction firm, was formed with Jan Van Duyn a part owner
and Vice President.
During his career at Ladd's and Garrett Associates
he has been involved in the sale of over 500 homes, the construction of over
250 homes, and the construction of over 200,000 square feet of commercial
and industrial properties.
His professional affiliations include: National
Association of Realtors, Detroit Area Commercial Board of Realtors, the Builders
Association of Southeastern Michigan and its Sales and Marketing Council.
He holds the CRS, RAM, GRI and designations.
